The prelude 368 mechanical pencil is designed to match the 368 fountain pen and ballpoint, it can of course be used on its own. Both cap and barrel are finished in bright gold plate and there is a pattern of fine fluted lines running along the pen.

The mechanism is the "clutch pencil" type, operated by pressing down on the cap. It uses 0.7mm leads.
